The Husson women's soccer team was recently one of 55 intercollegiate teams from across the nation to earn the Silver Team Ethics Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for the 2012 season.

The award recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior, and adherence to the laws of the game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards they are shown by referees throughout the season. The Silver Award goes to teams that accumulate no red cards and a maximum of five yellow cards over the course of a season. Husson only received two yellow cards in the 2012 fall.

Eagles head coach Carly Gettler commented, "Fair, ethical play was a goal that we set as a team early in preseason, and our players and coaching staff really committed to it all season. It is great to be recognized for our efforts with this award, and it reflects the type of team that we strive to be—tough, but always fair.
